Britney Spears’ Lawyers: ‘Britney Is Incapable Of Testifying In Driving Licence Case’….
Britney Spears’ driving without a valid license case has been postponed by one month because the troubled star is currently incapable of giving a deposition.
Spears’ lawyer J. Michael Flanagan was granted an extension to work on the case in January (2008) and was due back in Los Angeles Superior Court for a hearing on Wednesday (20Feb08).
But Judge T.K. Herman has further pushed back the misdemeanour case after the defence argued Spears’ conservatorship attorneys “do not think she is qualified or capable of entering into a binding agreement” at this time.
Spears’ father Jamie was recently appointed conservator of his daughter’s estate - he has temporary control over the Toxic singer’s legal and financial affairs until 10 March (08) following her hospitalisation earlier this month (Feb08) for her reported bipolar disorder.
The conservatorship lawyers also claim the Toxic singer is not mentally capable of giving a deposition or signed declaration, so the hearing is now set for 20 March (08).
The hearing relates to an incident in August (07), when Spears scraped a parked car in a private parking lot in California’s San Fernando Valley while driving without a valid licence.
The hit-and-run charge, which was caught on camera, was dismissed in court in October (07) after Spears offered a personal apology and $1,000 (#500) in compensation to the vehicle’s owner, Kim Robard-Rifkin.

Christina Aguilera has said what everybody is thinking - her pregnancy boobs are “amazing”.
The Dirrty singer has been milking her mammoth chest ever since giving birth to son Max last month.
In every public appearance she’s made, her assets have been firmly on display.
Now she’s opened up about them on the Ellen DeGeneres chat show.
Christina said: “I was just amazed by the whole process of being pregnant.
“It’s unbelievable to see yourself grow like that.
“So my stomach was huge back then, and now my chest is huge!”
Talking about son Max, she added: “To see the product of your love together is just incredible - my husband and I just can’t stop staring at him.”
I’m not sure that’s all hubby Jordan Bratman has been staring at recently.

Nicole Kidman wore a pretty, white dress that looked like a cross between a wedding gown and a nightie. It clung close to her figure and Nicole obliged the cameras by further bunching up the loose folds to show her small baby bump. She is about 4 months in the way.
Nicole, 40, made her rounds in Japan and she was in Tokyo for the premiere of her movie, The Golden Compass. She said that her kids, Connor, 15, and Bella, 13, have seen the movie. They loved it. She acted in the movie because she wanted her children to share it with their friends.

It’s only been a few weeks since the late great Heath Ledger passed away as a result of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. And already his legacy is inspiring artists to create.
A portrait of the “Brokeback Mountain” actor has been entered into a contest for the Archibald Prize, a highly-regarded honor in Australia.
Vincent Fantauzzo, a friend of Heath’s, is the artist behind the piece called, simply “Heath.” Composed of three different versions of the actor, Fantauzzo says he hopes his art makes a connection with everyone who views it.
The whispering, the voices, the frustration or something comical – they [represent] different ways that we might be thinking in our own mind.
The painting was created prior to Ledgers death, and Vincent said that upon hearing of Heath’s untimely passing, he couldn’t believe the sad news.
I just didn’t believe it. When you paint someone, you meditate over them. I was painting Heath every day for 10 hours a day.
The Archibald Prize winner will be announced March 7th.

Jamie Spears apparently let Britney Spears out of her cage for a while yesterday, and released the holds on her credit cards as well.
The alleged singer was spotted spending some serious dough yesterday at Forever 21 at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, California.
Britney Spears wore her signature accessories - yellow, form-fitting top, black pants, big shades and one huge bodyguard. Back away!
No word on what Britney bought at Forever 21, but if she wants to feel 21, she might try hitting the gym sometime instead of the mall. Sorry. Just saying. Britney circa 2002 was so friggin’ hot! Any Britney Spears pictures from the past 3-4 years don’t even compare.
While the star gets treatment for bipolar disorder, her conservators - dad Jamie and lawyer Andrew Wallet - are keeping her on a tight leash.
They’re trying to cut her off from the bad seeds like Sam Lutfi, who remains under investigation by the LAPD for drugging Britney.

Something about Hayden posing on a bed with stuffed animals, yet giving us those eyes, makes one just want to … um, write about it on one’s blog. Yeah.

And it sounds like wedding bells could be ringing for Brangelina. There are some serious rumors circulating that the ‘Fight Club’ stud and his ‘Girl Interrupted’ partner have been busy hammering out a $200 million prenuptial agreement in preparation for a wedding later this year.

They have both been through divorces and are wise enough not to marry without a pre-nup in place. They know the score. They know that, if God forbid, things don’t work out, they can make a clean break and go their separate ways with their separate assets.
And that means separate bank accounts. There are no joint bank accounts and there never will be. They keep their money separate and will continue to do so after they’re married. It’s a relief to Angie because she doesn’t have to oversee Brad’s spending. He has expensive tastes and spends huge amounts on motorcycles, art and property.
The custody issue of their children is also included in the agreement, according to an insider.
You won’t see any messy custody battle here. Brad will always be their dad. They will ensure that the children won’t want for a single thing for the rest of their lives. But hopefully they will have a happily married mom and dad.

Lindsay Lohan’s father refuses to look at nude photos of his daughter posing as Marilyn Monroe.
Michael Lohan is determined not to see the pictures of 21-year-old Lindsay in the new issue of New York magazine, but accepts it was “her decision” to agree to the shoot.
He said: “I’m not going to look at the photos - that’s my daughter! But Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career. It’s her decision.”

However, Michael did recognise that being asked to recreate Bert Stern’s famous ‘Last Sitting’ photos of Marilyn was a huge honour for Lindsay.
He added to Us Weekly magazine: “The fact that the photographer Bert Stern who did Marilyn Monroe’s pictures would ask Lindsay to re-create them - that’s an amazing thing.”
Michael also hopes Lindsay doesn’t fully follow in Marilyn’s footsteps, because the blonde iconic star died of a drugs overdose aged 36.
He said: “I pray there are no parallels to her and Marilyn Monroe’s destiny.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s mother Dinah has lent her support to her daughter, saying the photos were “tastefully done”.
She said: “It was very tastefully done. I respect the photographer as an artist, so I look at them artistically. For him to call Lindsay 46 years later and to say can you recreate these photos is an honour.”
She added to People magazine: “I looked at it as art, and as Lindsay doing a character. So I don’t look at them like it’s Playboy - she was being a character. If you look at it that way, you can look at it as a mother.”

Paris Hilton wants to find the man who sent her a $40,000 bottle of champagne.
The hotel heiress celebrating her 27th birthday with sister Nicky, David Katzenberg and Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden at Las Vegas nightclub LAX last weekend when the magnum bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne arrived at their table.
A source close to the star told the New York Daily News newspaper: Paris and Nicky still have no idea who sent the champagne, but would really like to track the person down to thank them.
The group celebrated Paris’ birthday by downing shots of absinthe - which is famous for its hallucinogenic properties.
Insiders at Vegas’ Palms Hotel and Casino say the group, which later included Tommy Lee, drank an entire bottle of Le Tourment Vert absinthe.
One insider said:
They seemed to not realise that absinthe could make them hallucinate and were knocking it back like it was vodka or water. They easily got through a whole bottle, and would have ordered another one if they hadn’t had to leave.

Amy Winehouse’s jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil was rushed to the prison medical block last week after allegedly taking a drugs overdose.
Fielder-Civil, who is currently behind bars in London’s Pentonville Prison, was found vomiting violently and writhing in pain on the floor of his cell after reportedly taking a potentially lethal combination of heroin mixed with an unknown toxic substance with five other inmates.
A Prison Service spokesperson said:
A small number of prisoners were treated in health care following the consumption of an unknown substance.
Just days prior to the overdose, Fielder-Civil had been sentenced to solitary confinement after failing three random drug tests.
He has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice and will stand trial in June.
The 25-year-old is accused of attempting to fix the outcome of a previous trial for grievous bodily harm.

Troubled pop star Britney Spears caused chaos after leaving a trendy LA shop wearing a £100 top she hadn’t paid for.
Her 25 aides and bodyguards then argued with the store’s staff and with cops and fans.
But friends of the star, 26, say she simply forgot to hand over cash for the $200 long-sleeved vest. She was not arrested.
Toxic singer Brit was recently taken out of a Californian psychiatric ward by her dad JAMIE.
Sporting jet-black hair, she had spent Saturday shopping in leopard-print top and jeans. But she then emerged from the hip Fred Segal store in Melrose Avenue wearing the black top.
A shopper said:
Britney seemed to be in a daze. She rushed around looking at coats and bags and then left with her gang of 25 people.
The staff were just staring at each other, then said ‘I think she’s taken a top’. There was chaos outside with fans and police.
Brit – in a custody battle over her two kids - tried to put the latest row behind her by going out with her dad to the posh Club Social in Hollywood. They had a quiet meal and left before midnight.
She has previously been accused of swiping a disposable lighter from a garage last December and a wig from a sex shop last year.
